Concert Review
After the Rain:
The song could have been a lot more together because in the beginning some sections were lagging, for example the 1st violins were sometimes behind the 2nd violins. I also felt that our notes could have been more separated from each other because it would have added more of a bunch to each note. Next, the notes were out of tune and also each section was together and counting, but all the sections weren't together because every section was counting at a different pace. Finally, it was very evident that certain parts we were good at while others we were really bad at.
On a good note (lol) the tone at 65 to the end was amazing, we were all together and it was loud with an exciting feeling , and we were fairly into tune. Lastly, certain parts were very dynamic, for example 55 the dynamics went from quite to FF, this part sounded amazing!!!!
Illumination:
In the beginning I thought that we sounded scared, which caused the while orchestra to sound very weak and as if we didn't know what we were doing. At A we had really good tone, we sounded really loud and together, it was really good. Next the 2nd violins over powered the 1st violins too much, so the 1st need to play louder and the 2nd violins need to play quieter. The parts fit a lot better together in Illumination than in After the Rain. Sadly at 60 we start to fall apart, and you can tell we didn't know that part as while, along with that at 69 the 1st and 2nd violins aren't together and the high notes are really out of tone. Then again at the bottom of page2 we need a lot of work on that; we are really out of tone, are not together, and playing shy and unsure. Funny enough page 3 is really strong and in tone and we start to pull it together again, it sounds good, also the high notes are in tune. Lastly, measure145 sounds very good, though it was out of control and we got really excited, instead of playing strong and controlled. To end on a good note we played very dynamic in all 2 songs we played.
To Conclude:
I thought that the concert went while and gives us as a whole orchestra a good starting point to reflected on and look back on at the end of the year to see how much we have improved.

Evaluation of The Rain
Tone quality- 2
I would improve this by being more confident, and improving my intonation.
Rhythm-3
I would practice counting the beats more when there are notes that last 1 1/2 beats.
Pitch-2
I would play more scales to improve my intonation.
Dynamics 2-
I would look at the music closely and mark the music more vividly, so that it would be easier to follow the dynamics.
Articulation-3
I would again look at the music closely and mark the changes more vividly, so it would be easier to follow.
Right hand and posture-3
I would make sure that my bow is moving parallel to the bridge, and that my posture improves.
Left hand and posture-2.5
I would move my thumb so that it is up against the side of the violin, and I would make sure my wrist was straight and not collapse
